About

My story

Hello!
I am Chiara, wildlife photographer, birdwatcher and content creator.

In 2020, while dealing with mental health issues and doing my PhD, during a walk in a city park  I met a European Robin. I had literally just decided to try photography so I had a small DSLR camera with me and I took a photo of that little bird. That’s the moment everything started, a moment that changed my life. Birds became the catalyst of my healing journey. From that day, I started to learn and study everything I could about birds while also learning photography.

Very quickly, my enthusiasm and joy grew so big that I couldn’t keep it only for myself. This brought me to start sharing not only my photos online but also everything I was learning along the way and my daily adventures on Instagram.

In 2021, I was awarded as Young Talent by Canon Belgium and my social media channels started growing. I kept investing all my free time on creating educational content to help beginner bird photographers. And I realised there was nothing that made me happier than taking wildlife photos and help others do the same.

In 2024, I decided to quit my old job to pursue wildlife photography and teaching full-time. And… because a degree in Veterinary Medicine and a PhD are not enough, I even decided to go back to University to study Wildlife Conservation!

My why

I aim to use my photography as a tool to reach people’s minds and hearts. To encourage them to open their eyes and look for these wonderful creatures and to raise awareness on our duty to protect them.  Additionally, I work towards making wildlife photography more accessible for everyone who is just moving their first steps into this wonderful passion – no matter the gear and where they are.
